Itinerary

This multi-adventure trip of your dreams awaits you in Jordan! You will get well off the beaten path via hiking, horse riding, diving, abseiling, and 4x4.

Day 1: Amman Airport - Amman

Our representative will meet you upon arrival at Amman Airport and assist with your entry and Jordan visa.  After, he will escort you to our driver and continue to Amman for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Amman City Tour

Breakfast at the hotel, the driver will meet you to start the Amman City Tour.  Our first stop is the Royal Tank Museum.  Enter the gates of history and learn more about the wars of the World, the Great Arab Revolt, and Jordanian Battle of Karamah and walk beside the famous Sherman M-4 and the T-34; feel the power of the Centurion and Challenger tanks. Learn more about the tactics of wars and battles, tank engines and modifications, weight and size in a very clear and educational way. Indulge in the real life of a soldier and enter a tank to experience life inside this powerful weapon of past and future wars. Next stop is the Jordan Museum.  This museum is the largest museum in Jordan and hosts the country's most important archaeological findings. Its two main permanent exhibitions are the Dead Sea Scrolls, including the Copper Scroll, and the 9000-year-old ʿAin Ghazal statues, which are among the oldest human statues ever made. We then continue to the downtown area to explore the ruins of Amman’s Roman Theatre, the Citadel, the Umayyad Palace and the Archaeological and Folklore museums, and spend some time in the markets. Dinner and overnight in Amman.

Day 3:  Amman – Jerash – Ajloun - Amman

Breakfast at the hotel, the driver will meet you and continue to Jerash. This jewel of Northern Jordan is widely renowned for its exquisitely preserved ruins from the first century AD, and so well preserved that you can almost hear the banter of the merchants and the creaking of chariot wheels along the cobblestoned streets.  With your private site guide for 2 hours, explore the breathtaking arches, temples and baths in an amazing state of preservation and completeness.  Continue to Ajloun Castle. The castle was built by one of Saladin's generals in 1184 AD to control the iron mines of Ajloun. It was also used to defend the area from Crusader invasions. As part of a chain of forts, beacons were lit at night to pass signals from the Euphrates to as far as Cairo. The hill on which the castle sits, Jabal Auf, is a perfect location, offering bird’s-eye views over the surrounding countryside and over three major wadis leading to the Jordan Valley. End the day back in Amman for dinner and overnight.

Day 4:  Amman – Madaba – Mt Nebo – Kerak - Petra

Breakfast at the hotel, the driver will meet you and continue to the Church of St. George in Madaba to view the oldest preserved ancient mosaic map of the Holy Land dating back to the 6th century BC. After a short drive, arrive to Mt Nebo to retrace the steps of Moses and admire the spectacular view of the Promised Land just as he did over 2,000 years before. It is very easy to feel that you have arrived some place special.  On a clear day Jerusalem, Jericho and the Dead Sea can be seen.  A memorial in Moses’ honor can befound at the entrance to the early Byzantine Christian church where Moses is believed to have died.  Continue to Kerak to explore its famous Crusader Castle.  It lies on the ancient caravan routes that used to connect Egypt and Syria, and its commanding position almost 1000 meters above the Dead Sea Valley made it a great strategic asset. Kerak is home to one of Jordan’s greatest highlights – the imposing Crusader castle. Built in 1142, the castle provides an interesting insight into the struggles for the Holy Land between the Crusaders and the Muslims. End the day in Petra with dinner and overnight.

Day 5:  Petra Tour by Horses (guided; with boxed lunch) OR Hike the back way to the Monestary

Early breakfast at the hotel, around 530am, the driver and guide will meet you and continue to the Rose Red City of Petra to explore the site Indiana Jones style!.  Awaiting you will be your trusty Arabian horses. We will arrange your entrance fees and with the guide and horses, explore the main attractions of the lower part of the city.  You and the guide will start from the main gate all the way through the Siq to visit the Treasury, Street of Facades, the Theatre, all the way down to the Nymphium and Qaser El- Bent. After, exit the site at the back of the city where the driver will meet you to transfer you to the hotel for dinner and overnight.

 OR

Breakfast at the hotel, the driver and guide will meet you and continue to Little Petra. When the Nabataeans settled into the area, they established the area as an important caravan station and as a preliminary site for the ancient traders in preparation for the grand sales in the main part of Petra. Triclinums (big halls with three inner benches) were carved amongst the rocks of the Siq to provide accommodation for the traders. Water was also abundant due to careful “harvesting”.  Then get ready to enter Petra in a way in which very few visitors have – through the secret entrance to the Monastery. The climb starts as the narrow route, open to sheer drop-offs, leads to perhaps Petra's most awe-inspiring monument, the Monastery. We will then walk down the well-worn Nabataean steps into the heart of Petra, where we will visit Facades Street, the Theatre, Colonnaded Street, and Qasr al Bent, and the amphitheater. Then to ‘Al Khaznah’ or ‘The Treasury’ as though you are entering for the first time. After enjoying the unparalleled beauty of Al Khaznah, we then exit Petra from the Siq and head to Wadi Musa for dinner and overnight.

Day 6:  Petra – Little Petra – Wadi Rum (lunch)

Breakfast at the hotel, the driver will meet you and continue to Little Petra. Continue to Wadi Rum to experience the ride of your life during a 3-hour 4x4 safari and light hiking.  Explore the red sand dunes, ancient inscriptions, arched bridges and light hiking.  Bedouin lunch at one of the camps also included. Dinner and overnight in Wadi Rum.

Day 7:  Wadi Rum Abseiling (boxed lunch) – Aqaba

Breakfast at the camp, check-out, then our professional climbing guide will meet you at the camp with all equipment and give you some instructions and tips about the climbing and abseiling day.  Depending on your experience level, the site will be agreed upon this day (more than likely it will be Umm Froth Arch Bridge and Umm Zalga). Then ride by 4x4 to the 2 sites for 3-4 hours of abseiling.  Boxed lunch also included.  After, continue to Aqaba for dinner and overnight.

Day 8:  Aqaba Boat Diving (lunch onboard)

Breakfast at the hotel, then around 9am, you will be transferred to the dive shop to be fitted with your SCUBA/snorkeling equipment.  After, you will be transferred to Ayla Marina for your day of boat dives (4 to 5 hours; 2 dives and 2 different dive sites).  Buffet lunch onboard also included. Dinner and overnight in Aqaba.

Day 9:  Aqaba – Wadi Hasa Hiking – Dead Sea (guided)

Breakfast at the hotel, the driver and guide will meet you and continue to Wadi Al Hasa (also known as Wadi Zered) for a 2 to 3-hour adventure hike. It is the longest and the most beautiful wadi in Jordan and considered to be Jordan’s natural water park. Swim, wade, climb, jump and scramble to steaming pools of paradise. End the day at the world's largest natural spa and one of the most unique spots on earth - the Dead Sea.  Experience the strange sensation of floating effortlessly in the mystical waters, lounge around the pool, and take in the beautiful scenery. Dinner and overnight at the Dead Sea.

Day 10:  Dead Sea – Amman Airport

Breakfast at the resort, free time, then according to flight details, we will transfer you to Amman Airport.
