Wadi Al Hasa (also known as Wadi Zered) is is a wadi in western Jordan. According to ancient times, it was the boundary between Moab and Edom. Zered (also Zared) is a name in the Torah denoting a brook. It is mentioned briefly as the place where the Israelites camp on their final approach to Moab.
The wadi is very big and long and ends in the Dead Sea in the town Safi (Al-Safi). It is the longest and the most beautiful wadi in Jordan and considered to be Jordan’s natural water park. Hidden deep inside, shallow streams babble over rocks that soon become foaming rapids where the water can, within a matter of minutes, become shoulder depth. Swim, wade, climb, jump and scramble to steaming pools of paradise. Having the water streams will bring you wet feet so you have to be prepared for that. Bring your hiking shoes, you will carry your water, food and camping equipement in your back pack.
