Access the hidden archaeological treasures of the Rose City on a walk through a narrow deep siq, where the rocks finally give way to reveal the famous facade of Al-Khazneh (the Treasury). Once inside the ancient city, discover tombs, temples, an impressive amphitheatre and a Roman colonnaded street. If you're feeling energetic ascend the hundreds of rock-cut steps to Ad-Deir. Better known as the Monastery, Ad-Deir has a similar facade to that of the Treasury, but is far bigger and the views from the nearby cliff-tops are incredible!, then transfer to Little Petra area for Sunset, camping with dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Petra tour (the back way) from little Petra

Breakfast at the camp then start this day trekking from Beida, also known as Little Petra, and the place where the Nabateans used to entertain their guests. Enter Petra in a way in which very few visitors have! Go through the secret entrance to the Monastery.  Start the trek on a trail which initially winds across open farmland.  For the first two hours of the trek the path contours around the mountain ridge with fantastic views to Wadi Araba desert. Then the climb starts as the narrow route, open to sheer drop-offs, leads to perhaps Petra's most awe-inspiring monument, the Monastery. Lunch box will be provided during the tour. We will then walk down the well-worn Nabataean steps into the heart of Petra,  O/N Petra
