Day 1: Arava border - Wadi Rum, - Petra
Meet and assist you with your Jordan visa upon arrival on the Jordanian side of Arava Border (Eilat/Aqaba) and then meet our driver. After, leave city life behind and venture into the "Valley of the Moon" - Wadi Rum. The winding, hilly road meanders away from Aqaba and suddenly turns into a flat red and orange sand sea with imposing mountains emerging from its floor. Explore its vastness during one of the best rides of your life - on a 2 hour 4x4 safari and experience the magic of the desert, the sand dunes and some of the ancient inscriptions , rocky formations and natural bridges. enjoy a 2-hour 4x4 safari Then continue to Petra for the site visit. We will arrange your entry and hire for you an English speaking site guide to explore the lower part of the city for 2.5 to 3 hours. You and the guide will start from the main gate all the way through the Siq to visit the Treasury, Street of Facades, the Theatre, all the way down to the Nympheom and Qaser El- Bent. You then have some free time on your own to explore further places. After, return to the main gate and to the hotel for dinner and overnight at 3* hotel.
Day 2: Petra - Kerak - Mt. Nebo - Madaba - Amman
Breakfast at the hotel, meet your private guide and the driver and continue the drive toward Amman, the capital city of Jordan. We will make few stops along the way. After about 2 hours driving on the King's Highway, we will make our first stop at Kerak to visit the 12-century Crusader castle built over the remains of earlier citadels, some which date back to Nabataean times. The castle in itself is more imposing than beautiful, although it is an impressive example of the Crusaders' architectural military genius. Wander through underground corridors with huge kitchens, stables and sleeping quarters with several floors. The top of the castle offers magnificent views in all directions. We then continue to Mount Nebo to retrace the steps of Moses and admire the spectacular view of the Promised Land just as he did over 2,000 year before. It is very easy to feel that you have arrived some place special. On a clear day Jerusalem, Jericho and the Dead Sea can be seen. A memorial in Moses’ honor can be found at the entra.nce to the early Byzantine Christian church where Moses is believed to have died. After a short drive, arrive in Madaba to discover the oldest preserved ancient mosaic map of the Holy Land dating back to the 6th century BC located within the Church of St. George. We end the day in Amman with dinner and overnight at 3* hotel.
Day 3: Amman - Jerash - Sheikh Hussein Bridge
Early breakfast at the hotel in Amman and then join our guide and continue to thre Roman ruins of Jerash, so well preserved that you can almost hear the banter of the merchants and the creaking of chariot wheels along the cobblestoned streets. Explore the breathtaking arches, temples and baths in an amazing state of preservation and completeness. After, we continue to Sheikh Hussein Bridge.
