2Amman - Amman City Tour - Jerash - Amman

Indulge in breakfast at the hotel, then commence the morning with a city tour of Jordan's capital, mentioned in the Bible as Rabbath Ammon. The city, built on a series of jabals (or hills), unfolds spectacular vistas at every turn. Dominating the skyline on Jabal Qala'a is the Citadel, a site that has witnessed the rise and fall of civilizations inhabiting Amman for the past 7,000 years. Noteworthy features include the Temple of Hercules, the Umayyad Palace, and the remnants of a small Byzantine Church. At the hill's base lies the 6,000-seat Roman Theatre, constructed in 161 CE, surprisingly still utilized for cultural events today.

After a short drive through the countryside, explore the remarkable Roman ruins of Jerash, impeccably preserved to the point where you can almost envision the lively exchanges of merchants and the creaking of chariot wheels along the cobblestoned streets. This ancient wonder showcases breathtaking arches, temples, and baths in an astonishing state of preservation and completeness. Return to Amman for dinner and an overnight.

Nebo to trace the steps of Moses, soaking in the spectacular view of the Promised Land, just as he did over 2,000 years ago. The site exudes a unique sense of significance, and on a clear day, you can witness Jerusalem, Jericho, and the Dead Sea. A memorial in Moses' honor is situated at the entrance to the early Byzantine Christian church, believed to be the place of his death.

Continue your journey to the Dead Sea, the world's largest natural spa and one of the most extraordinary spots globally. The water and mud of the Dead Sea have been acknowledged for their healing properties since Biblical times.
