Day 2: Amman- Mt Nebo - Madaba – Karak –Petra
Commence your day with a tour of Madaba, exploring the world's largest collection of ancient mosaics. Visit the St. George Church renowned for its 6th-century map of the Holy Land. Proceed to Mt. Nebo, the vantage point where Moses glimpsed the Promised Land, offering breathtaking views of the Jordan Valley, Dead Sea, Jericho, and, weather permitting, Jerusalem. Traveling via the King's Way, reach Karak Castle, a renowned Crusader fortress erected in 1132/34 by King Baldwin I of Jerusalem. Conclude the day's journey with a drive to Petra, where you'll check into a 3-star hotel, enjoy dinner, and spend the night.
Day 3: Petra one of the seven wonders - Dead Sea, overnight
Embark on a visit to one of the 7 Wonders of the World, the captivating rose-red city of Petra. Accompanied by your English-speaking guide, traverse the Siq, witnessing the remnants of Nabataean shrines, water channels, wall carvings, and original paving stones. Upon emerging from the Siq, marvel at the awe-inspiring Treasury carved into the rock face. Explore the Street of Facades, Theatre, Royal Tombs, Colonnaded Street, Byzantine Church, Winged Lion’s Temple, Qasr al Bint, and the Petra Museum, where your guide will conclude the tour. Optionally, ascend to the Monastery and/or High Place of Sacrifice on your own. Later, transfer to the Dead Sea for dinner and an overnight.
